Intro

The San Antonio Creek Trail is a kid friendly hike located close to downtown Santa Barbara. It begins at Tucker's Grove Park, which is a great place to enjoy the playground and the picnic area before or after a hike. There are bathrooms at Tucker Park. Head through the Park and across the creek to the far parking lot. Look for the sign that says "Bridle Path"to start your hike.

What Makes It Great

The two mile out and back shaded hike will follow the creek and will end at Highway 154- the one mile turnaround point. This is also a good short trail run that has very little elevation gain- approximately 300 feet. Dogs are welcome on the trail.

Who is Going to Love It

It's a good family outing but also a nice hike or run for those looking for a mellow trail with nice scenery. Tacking it on to a day at Tucker's Grove Park is a fine idea.

Directions, Parking, & Regulations

Tucker's Grove Park is located just north of the intersection of North Turnpike Road and Cathedral Oaks Road.

Hi, everyone. Over the next two weeks I’m going to address workouts geared at two groups: beginners and Intermediates. I want to share my thoughts on how much you should workout (number of days) along with how much time (number of minutes). I hope this will help you to create a plan as we move forward or offer you some clarity if you have already started one.
