How much food is in each container?

We currently have two sizes:

Small = 250-350 calories per meal, 4-6 oz of protein (pre-cooked weight)

Regular = 350-600 calories per meal, 6-8 oz of protein (pre-cooked weight)

How do I prepare my meals?

All of our meals are plated into eco-friendly, BPA Free, microwavable containers. Specific heating instructions are printed on each meal's label.

MICROWAVE

Before placing in the microwave, peel back one of the corners. Microwave times vary, the times posted are for a 1000w microwave.
A Small meal should be microwaved for 1:00min to 1:30min until food reaches 165F
A Regular meal should be microwaved for 1:30min to 2:00min until food reaches 165F
 

OVEN

Preheat oven to 350F.
Move the meal into an oven-safe container.
Heat for 8-10 mins to an internal temperature of 165F.
 

Am I cooking my meal?

Nope, we cooked your meal. All of our meals are prepared fresh and plated into microwavable containers and then chilled to ensure freshness. A microwave is only used to reheat the meal. But once it's at home and on a plate, you can say whatever you want. 

Are you like MyFitFoods or Snap Kitchen?

We're similar, but there are a few key differences:

  1. We cook all of our meals at our in-house Culinary Center from scratch with fresh ingredients.
  2. We emphasize flavor and take a gourmet approach to our meals. Chef Zach is actually a CHEF! Chef Zach graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park.
  3. We offer meal plans and delivery options for the ultimate convenience.
  4. We are a locally-owned San Antonio family business!

What's up with the name?

The name comes from Chef Zach's great-grandfather's first name. He owned National Decorator Supply in Indiana for 50 years. Zach always followed him around when he would visit. Zedric also happens to be Zach's middle name.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we do! You may choose delivery for both online and subscription orders!

Do you deliver to businesses?

We can, but we can’t guarantee it will be there before closing. It is always best to send to your home address if the business is not open late.

What if I forget my gate code or any delivery details needed for a successful delivery?

Please include any information our drivers will need to successfully complete your delivery. If you forget to add this information, you may call us at (210) 541-0404 during regular business hours and we’ll do our best to contact the driver responsible for your order. If we cannot reach the driver, our driver will attempt to deliver again the following day, but a new fee of $30 will be collected for this 2nd attempt. (Our courier charges $15 to bring the order back to the store then another $15 to redeliver)

Why should I subscribe? 

Because it's EASY and SAVES YOU MONEY! All subscribe and save orders save you 10%. Set it, forget it, or change it every week—it's up to you!

Are your proteins steroid and hormone-free?

All of our proteins are all-natural, steroid and hormone-free!

How do my delivery meals come packaged?

We deliver your meals in insulated Zedric's bags with ice packs to keep your food cold until they arrive at your home or office. Please have someone available to put your Zedric's meals immediately into the refrigerator.

How will I know when my order will arrive?

You will receive two emails, the first when your order is leaving our store and heading your way for delivery and the second it is dropped off at your address. 

Can I freeze these meals?

Our meals last up to 14 days in the refrigerator, and you may also freeze many of them.

I have dietary restrictions and/or allergies.

 That's not a question...Just joking! If you have any specific questions about your dietary restrictions or allergies, feel free to contact us anytime! Our meals are made in-house and in a kitchen that uses milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soy ingredients. We're friendly, but not free.

How can I change the meals in my subscription?

Great question! We want you to be able to get exactly the meals you want every week! If you want to make changes to your weekly order you can do so here, 24 HOURS BEFORE your subscription charge processes.

You'll also recieve an email informing you of the upcoming subscription charge and prompting for any modifications.

All modifications to your subscription, including meal changes, skips, and subscription cancellations must be completed before your modification/cancellation deadline 24 HOURS BEFORE your subscription charge processes. 

How often am I charged?

We offer a weekly subscription meal service for delivery or pick-up, so the charges will be weekly and recurring unless you cancel or skip. You will be charged 48 HOURS BEFORE your scheduled delivery or pick-up for the price of your subscription order with the payment method on file.

What if I forgot to cancel?

Cancellations must be made 24 HOURS BEFORE the modification/cancellation deadline. You will get an email before you're charged reminding you of this deadline for any changes needed including meal changes, skips, and subscription cancellations. We cannot refund after the deadline as your order will have begun processing.

When will I get my food?

You can choose your delivery or pick-up time at checkout when you set up your subscription! Your payment method on file will always be charged 48 HOURS BEFORE your requested pick-up or delivery time, so this will always be the same day of the week as long as you keep those delivery and pick-up times the same!
